James Ortiz is Associate Professor at LACL, Université Paris-Est Créteil (since September 2025). He was a postdoctoral researcher at Télécom Paris (2024–2025) and at the University of Namur (2023–2024), and earned a PhD in Computer Science from Namur in April 2023 on timed automata with partially independent clocks.
